Tour introduction

Richness of the natural landscape includes beautiful waterfalls, mountains covered by thick pine trees, dead volcanoes, crystal-like fresh lakes, rich species of birds and endless opportunity for photography not possible anywhere else in the world.
 Not just seeing, you can also feel the touch of free land with beauty shaped by time. Your experiences will include free running livestock where you will see and learn nomadic customs and herding skills, experience the taste of dairy products made with livestock’s fresh milk, horse and camel riding, trekking to high mountains in fresh air and playing traditional intellectual Mongolian games and cultural sightseeing. 


Day by day itineraries

Day1. Arrive in Mongolia and city tour in Ulaanbaatar (Abbreviation: UB) (D)

We will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel. After some rest at the hotel we will visit the National History museum and see Mongolian traditional show at 6 o’clock. After dinner, we will transfer you to the hotel. Stay in hotel***


Day2. Kharkhorin, ancient capital of Mongolia (B/L/D)

We will drive to ancient capital city Kharakhorin. In 1220 great Chinghis Khaan declared it as the capital city of his vast Empire. Today there are many interesting sites left to visit; the legendary turtle rock sculptures, Buddhist stupas and the ruins of this once great city to name a few. Erdenezuu - the 1st Buddhist monastery in Mongolia was established in 1586. Today Erdenezuu monastery still shows its glory with collections of many priceless religious objects and incredibly beautiful Mongolian arts. It has a massive square wall, 420 meters in length each side, 108 Stupas & 17 temples. On the way we will do camel riding for 30 minutes at the semi sand dunes (Elsen Tasarkhai). Overnight in ger camp (370 kms)


Day3. Khorgo Volcano (extinct volcano) – Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we will drive to Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur via Tsetserleg town. We will pay a visit to the extinct Khorgo volcano by trekking to its big crater which once spewed hot lava (7,000 years ago). Khorgo Mountain used to be a dormant volcano located on the east shore of Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake. The volcano crater of the Togoo Uul is covered with Siberian Larch. If time permits, we will visit a local horseman nomadic family where you have an opportunity to experience their lifestyle and also a trail ride on horsebacks. Next, we will proceed to tour Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, which was formed when Khorgo volcano lava dammed the Suman River, cutting a large gorge through the basalt. It is an astonishingly beautiful lake, 20km long, 16km wide and 4 to 10m deep with an altitude 
of 2,060m above sea level. Well known as the White Lake, it is a good spot for bird watching and fishing. Stay in ger camp (About 280 kms)


Day4. Zuun Lake via Jargalan village (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we will proceed for an approximate five hours’ drive to Zuun Lake. The lake is a great place for bird viewings and it is also located along the way to Huvsgul National Park. Stay in ger camp (About 260 kms)


Day5. Huvsgul National Park (B/L/D)

Today we will drive to Huvsgul Lake, the deepest and purest lake in Mongolia. Known as the Blue Pearl of Mongolia, it borders Siberia and has magnificent landscape views. We will also embark on a trek to the lakeside and mountains for photo taking sessions, exploring and enjoying the wildlife, flora and fauna of Huvsgul Lake area. Stay in ger camp (About 230 kms)


Day6. Leisure day in Khuvgul lake (B/L/D)

This morning we will proceed on horseback to the Huvsgul Lake area and walk around the lake. Maybe we will get a chance to see reindeer, taking a memorable picture of an unforgettable experience. Stay in ger camp


Day7. Fly to Ulaanbaatar (B/Packed L)

After breakfast, transfer to the domestic airport in Murun for flight to Ulaanbaatar. On arrival in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to hotel with the rest of the day free at your leisure.  Stay in hotel***

Day8. Departure (B)

After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight back to home, with wonderful memories of your Mongolian adventure!
