Walking through Glacier canyon of Yolyn Am freezes even during summer hot days, as you slide down through Singing Dune of Khongoryn Els, moreover further under the sunset it looks like flaming Cliffs called Bayanzag, also Equestrian statue as Modern exhibits of Millennium man human wonder well-known Chinggis Khan. Natural wonders of stone’s sceneries Turtle Rock and Praying Lama, deep down of Mountain ranges stands Meditation center of Aryapala temple.
Chance to ride a camel on endless sand dunes, riding horse through steep Cliffs besides hiking up to Hills while exploring landscapes and reading god’s teachings and possibility to trekking to Bayanzag, homeland of dinosaurs.
Day by day itineraries
Day1. Arrive in Mongolia and city tour in Ulaanbaatar (Abbreviation: UB) (D)
Upon arrival at the Chinggis Khan international airport in Mongolia, you will meet Visit Mongolia crew and transfer to the hotel***, conveniently located downtown Ulaanbaatar. After freshening up from your flight, we start our first day around Ulaanbaatar starting from Gandan Monastery, the largest and most important monastery of Mongolia with 500 monks. From here we will go to the National History Museum which tells the rich history of Mongolia. Then we will see Mongolian traditional concert at 6pm. Welcome to the dinner. Stay in hotel***
Day2. Fly to South Gobi and Drive to the Vulture Canyon (B/L/D)
We will fly to South Gobi and drive to the Vulture Canyon, which nestles between the beautiful peaks of Gurvansaikhan of the Three Beauties. After arrival at the canyon, we will take 2-hour hike through the canyon and maybe able to see parts of a glacier left over from the winter months. On our way in/out of the park we can visit the local Natural History Museum where dinosaur eggs and bones, petrified trees and a snow leopard are on display. Overnight in ger camp (about 120 kms)
Day3. Khongoriin Els sand dunes and hike to top of sand dunes (B/L/D)
This morning will drive to the Khongoriin Els sand dunes. These are some of the largest and most spectacular sand dunes in Mongolia. At 100 m in height the giant sand dunes stretch lengthwise some 180 kms. Sometimes the area is only several hundred meters wide but can grow to 7-20 kms. You can walk up the dunes, enjoy the views for miles and hear the song of the sand dunes as you slide down. Also we can make camel riding for one hour. Overnight in ger camp (about 180 kms)
Day4. Bayanzag or Flaming cliffs and walking around (B/L/D)
Visit to the Bayanzag area. Known as a Flaming Cliffs "Cradle of Dinosaurs" this is where the first nest of dinosaur eggs ever discovered was found in 1922. A site famous for the remains of dinosaur that lived here 60 million years ago. You can walk around where dinosaurs once roamed and see saxaul trees and other classic desert vegetation. Overnight in ger camp (about 150 kms)
Day5. Fly back to UB and drive to Terelj National Park (B/L/D)
This morning we will fly to UB. After landing in UB, we will drive to Terelj NP. There we will make horse riding and short trekking to the small temple on the hill. Overnight in ger camp
Day6. Drive back to UB (B/L)
Today we will drive back to UB. On the way we will see Chingis Khaan Equestrian statue that is the highest one in the world. After arriving in UB, we will drop you at the hotel. After freshening up from your tour, we will do some shopping. Overnight in hotel***
Day7. Departure (B)
Transfer to the airport for your departure.
